Cupcake Poppers!

How cute are these?!  And they are equally simple.  Just mini cupcakes with the bottoms cut off.  Fill with your favorite frosting!  The possibilities are endless... think holiday colors, birthday parties, etc!

Flower Cupcakes

I decided to do a little baking for our play date this week, who doesn't love a good indulgent sweet?  I had been wanting to attempt flower cupcakes and surprisingly had no trouble whipping these up!  Don't you want to just reach though the screen and try some?

4th of July Cake Pops

Okay well first I have to rave about this new machine I got.  It's a Babycakes Cake Pop machine!  You read me right, cake-pop-machine.  Genius right?  I mean, for one it made it a lot easier to make the pops and for another thing, it made it easier to dip the pops.  Also, I wasn't the biggest fan of the taste of the frosting on the inside, I mean I have a sweet tooth so I liked it and ate it but these are a little lighter but still a great cake pop taste.

Anywho, after collecting and being inspired by so many 4th of July desserts on Pinterest ... in the end I was just too excited to make cake pops so that's what I made!  Turned out pretty cute too if you ask me :)  Still working on my technique for getting the chocolate super smooth but all in all not as hard as the original pops.

Fruit Bouquet

I love Edible Arrangements, they are so pretty and so tasty!  But... so expensive!  I decided I could make them on my own.  All you really need is a cute flower cookie cutter and some time.  These were made for a bridal shower as centerpieces.  Functional and they taste good, ha.

Royal Icing Cookies

I don't know about you but I love how the cookies that have been professionally iced look, there is just something so delicious about them!  I'd say I am an intermediate baker and thought I would give royal icing a try.  First up I studied every website out there about opinions on how to make the "right" royal icing.  I took a lot of inspiration from The Sweet Adventures of SugarBelle since her cookies are AMAZING!  For these cookies I used boxed sugar cookies (gasp!) but it was because I wanted to really spend time with the icing and worry about the cookies later.  However, I will say... the boxed sugar cookies turned just as de-lish!  Check out my first go at the D-A-D cookies!

Stay tuned for more cookies, I have 101 cookies cutters that would make adorable cookies!
